Gwen Sebastian just released “Cadillac,” the first new song off a forthcoming album. She wrote it with Miranda Lambert and their friend April Lewis. Amazingly, it’s the first time Lambert had a cut with another artist, and it’s the first song for Lewis altogether. And it’s phenomenal.
Upon the release of “Cadillac” to iTunes and streaming services, Lambert took to Instagram to share the “important news” with her fans: “My great friend and band mate @gwensebastian has a new single out today…Glad to share it with people I love. Y’all support some female singer /songwriters today and buy this. Thanks for the love.”
Since her appearance as a member of Team Blake during the second season of NBC’s “The Voice”, Sebastian has established herself as one of the most reliable and consistent collaborators in all of music, and Friday’s single release will be a much deserved opportunity for her to step back into the spotlight. Each of Sebastian’s singles have been well-written songs that exemplify the best of country music, and “Cadillac” is no exception. It’s even more worth listening to since it’s a taste of what audiences will be getting on her next album, and based on this single the album is worth looking forward to.
I listened to “Cadillac” tonight, and it’s a great song. Every time I hear Gwen, I become even more of a fan. For those of you who keep saying, ’we need more females in country music’ – Gwen is one we definitely need. There is nothing about this song that you aren’t going to like. The lyrics, the melody, and of course, Gwen’s amazing vocals. I hope all of you will get on the phones on Friday (Aug. 11), and started requesting “Cadillac at your favorite country radio station.
